MULTIPLE REGISTRATION DISCOUNT NOW OFFERED FOR THE OGCM CONFERENCE & TRADE SHOW.
Due to numerous requests from our Members who wish to bring more of their staff members to the OGCM Conference, our Conference Committee has decided to offer rebates for groups from the same club.
In order to qualify for this rebate, the group must be staying at the official conference hotel – The Marriott Fallsview .
1st and 2nd registrations are at the regular rate (early bird or regular, member or non member) WITH THE 3RD AND ANY SUBSEQUENT REGISTRATIONS RECEIVING A 50% REBATE VIA ONE CHEQUE PAYMENT AFTER THE CONFERENCE HAS CONCLUDED AND BOTH REGISTRATION AND HOTEL BOOKINGS HAVE BEEN VERIFIED.

The fine print: This rebate does not apply to already discounted registrations (trade show, retired or students). Discount will be applied to the least expensive registration(s) listed for that club, with a cheque being mailed out approx. 8 weeks after the close of the conference. OGSA Public Meeting Tool Kit
A Special Seminar and Coaching Session to be Offered at the Conference
The OGSA is currently in the process of developing a comprehensive “Tool Kit” to help our members prepare for and successfully execute the mandated Public Meetings that each golf course will have to perform beginning in 2012. We have assembled a committee led by three OGSA Directors as well as a number of recognized industry professionals to help create this “tool kit”.
The “Tool Kit” will include a presentation each superintendent can customize to his or her specific property which will cover the environmental and socioeconomic benefits of golf courses, information on the IPM accreditation process and information about pesticide regulations in Canada. It will also include a step by step information sheet that will assist with the execution of the meeting to ensure that all of the requirements set by the MOE are met.
The “OGSA Tool Kit” will continue to evolve over the next several months and will be presented through a hands-on, interactive seminar which will include a coaching session at the 2012 conference in Niagara Falls.
All materials included in the Tool Kit will then be made available online to all OGSA members free of charge. It is the goal of the OGSA to meet the needs of the members and provide them with all the elements they will need to execute a successful public meeting.
